CWEA Members are invited to a free tour of the water facilities at San Diego's Sea World!

Date:        Friday, November 14, 2008

7 - 8 AM:   Continental Breakfast/Networking

8 - 10 AM: Guided Tour of the Sea World Facilities

Michael Tucker, with the Water Quality Department of Sea World, will be providing a behind the scenes tour of Sea World. It will cover general park information, a look at their East or West Water Treatment Facility and an up-close look at their filtration process. For those who take the West tour they will visit our Main Plant Intake system, Animal Care Holding facility, Shamu "87" and Shamu Close-up. The East tour will visit JTA Commersons Exhibit, Wild Arctic Exhibit, Penguin Encounter and, if time permits, their Main Plant Intake system. The tour will last approximately two hours. 

This event is part of our ongoing free Wake Up to Wastewater! program. The San Diego Section sponsors this program touring local facilities and providing education to our members.

Parking is complimentary - there will be a section of parking stalls reserved in the Employee Parking Lot.

Please note: This tour is limited to 40 people. Please only register if you are certain that you can attend. If your schedule changes and you can't attend, please unregister through the website or notify one of the San Diego Section board members.
